South African Visa for Entertainers

This visa is designed for foreign nationals in the entertainment industry—including musicians, dancers, actors, and technical crew—who are traveling to South Africa for short-term performance-related activities, such as concerts, shows, or festivals.
Issued under Regulation 11(4)(a) of the Immigration Regulations and Section 11(1)(b)(iv) of the Immigration Act, this visitor’s visa allows for specific, temporary work in entertainment, without the need for a long-term work or residency permit.

Technical and production crew: sound engineers, lighting techs, stage managers.
Solo performers, groups, or full productions.

🎯 Purpose of the Visa
To permit foreign entertainers and their support teams to enter and perform in South Africa legally for a limited duration.

🔑 Key Features
Short-Term: Valid up to 90 days, with a possible extension of an additional 90 days.
Activity-Specific: Only covers entertainment-related work at specified venues/events.
Not an Employment Visa: Cannot be used for long-term employment or non-entertainment activities.

Portfolio, resume, or contracts for previous shows

Police Clearance Certificate (only required for stays longer than 12 months)
